Sellers should mention what they expect and what you will need to provide. For example, for gift cards, many sellers require a receipt showing that the gift card was bought legally and also establishing that you are indeed the owner of the gift cards. If this information is requested and you cannot provide it, then it is better not to proceed with the trade. If you can meet all the requirements, then make sure you have everything ready before you start the trade.

Once you’ve clicked the Paid button, the countdown timer stops, and the trade can no longer expire. This is important because if you send the seller the payment information, such as a gift card code, and the offer expires, then the escrow is released and you won’t get your cryptocurrency. The Paid button also provides security from dishonest or forgetful sellers. If you click the Paid button and you haven’t paid, the seller might think you’re a coin-locker or someone trying to scam them. Be sure to click the button only once you’ve paid to prevent complications.

Brokering is when you buy a gift card code from someone, thinking you can sell it later to someone else. Even if you checked the code when you bought it, the person who sold you the code can use it anytime without your knowledge, and this is why it is against the TheExchang Terms of Service. If you keep trying to give sellers used codes, you will be reported and banned from trading on TheExchang as it is not only a waste of your own time but also that of others. Remember to only use gift cards you have bought yourself.

You must be the actual payer and the original owner of the submitted payment (Owner of the gift card, credit card, bank account, or account on an online payment platform). Being a middleman in paying for the cryptocurrency is not allowed and can be considered a scam.

They go through a lot of tough customers, and being polite can save you a lot of time. Being polite is about a lot more than your language; it’s about following their instructions as well. Note that if there is a dispute, the moderator will take language into account.

The price of Bitcoin relative to the dollar changes constantly every day and determines how much you get from trades on TheExchang. The amount of bitcoin you get also depends on whom you buy it from. Some TheExchang sellers will sell you bitcoin with only a 5% margin, while others may set a margin as high as 50%. It is entirely up to the seller to set the price, and you can choose to accept their terms or find a better offer that matches your expectations.

On TheExchang, the market price of bitcoin is calculated as an average of the rates found on three different exchanges (Coinbase, Bitstamp, and Bitfinex). This is the rate that most sellers will use when you try to buy bitcoin. However, on TheExchang, sellers can define their own price. The price is usually slightly higher than the exchange price because of the convenience and speed you enjoy while trading bitcoin. The ultimate price of bitcoin is entirely up to the seller, and it is your responsibility as a buyer to look for and identify the right offer for you.

If all other bank transfer offers have a less profitable margin then this trade would be a good idea. The profit or loss of a trade depends on the performance of bitcoin in the days following your purchase. If the bitcoin price goes up, then you will be able to sell it and make a profit. If the price goes down, you may incur a loss if you try to sell it.

TheExchang offers more than 500 payment methods to buy and sell cryptocurrency. Some of these payment methods require additional caution. As a seller, you should be aware of these specifics to increase the safety of your cryptocurrency and have an overall pleasant experience on TheExchang. Cash Payments Ensure that the buyer deposits cash in your name, and ask for the receipt. Make sure that you are trading with the actual person making the deposit. Avoid dealing with third parties in such situations. Online Wallets Ensure that the buyer’s account is verified on the wallet service provider (i.e. verified PayPal account). Ask for the buyer’s ID. Make sure the user’s full name matches both their ID as well as their online wallet account. Ensure that you are trading with the owner of the account and that no third parties are involved. For extra precaution, you can ask the buyer to write on a piece of paper the confirmation of the purchase of cryptocurrency along with the trade ID, including the trade amount, and take a picture of it. In case of a chargeback, you can show this picture as evidence. Paypal specific tips: Ask for a selfie with ID and a note saying, “I am making payment of x.xx to email address + real name." Make sure the person has sufficient balance in their account and they pay directly from their account. If they pay by card, a chargeback is much less likely to occur. Stick to low amounts and limit new buyers to one trade per day/week to limit chargeback risks. Accept payments only from verified PayPal accounts to ensure they have a bank account linked to it. This will help in case of chargebacks as PayPal will have information about such users. Make sure that payment comes as a single transaction from the Paypal account owner. Prefer payments as “Friends and Family”. Debit/Credit Cards This method is just as risky as online wallets as you could easily be charged back. Use the same precautions as for online wallets. Gift Cards To avoid gift card deactivation, ask for a receipt and make sure the gift card is bought with cash. Be aware of card resellers. If the card was obtained from third parties, there is a risk of the card becoming invalid during or after the trade. Ask everyone to provide a picture with their username and trade ID. Be careful when accepting e-codes or gift cards bought with debit/ credit cards, as any debit/ credit card purchase can be charged back. Margins are the difference between your offer price and the Bitcoin market price. It determines how much you stand to earn or lose in a trade.

When buying crypto, a positive margin (+) means that you’re buying crypto at a price higher than the market price, and a negative margin (-) means that you’re buying crypto at a lower price than the market. Buying crypto with a negative margin (-) typically means you save money. How it works: You can start by creating an offer by clicking the New Advertisements button under My Advertisements page. After you decide to sell or buy crypto and select a payment method, go to the trade pricing section. You will see a section called Offer Margin when setting up your trade. Note: Offer Margins are done in percentages, not in specific currency amounts. You can make your Offer Margin a positive (+) or negative (-) percentage. There are two options when making your Offer Margin. The first is the basic version, where you only decide on your percent Offer Margin. The other option is the advanced version. In the advanced Offer Margin option, you can use the market price from different sources, like Gemini, Kraken, and Binance. You can also choose the price point as well. After you complete the above steps, that’s it! You’ve successfully finished making your Offer Margin. You can continue filling out the rest of your offer like you normally would.

TheExchang has no margin limits.

Being disrespectful - Do not use profanity, hate speech, or other offensive or vulgar messaging in your offer. TheExchang has a zero-tolerance policy for this type of behavior. The payment method was restricted - Offers can be removed from the marketplace because the payment method selected has been restricted in your location. If you want more information, please look at this article. Violation of TheExchang’s Terms of Service - If there’s a violation of TheExchang’s Terms of Service, your offer may be removed. What are my next steps? You’ll most likely receive a gentle warning about your offer and why it was removed. You’ll be expected to revert your offer and update the terms and instructions so it doesn’t fit the above mentioned criteria. Additional actions for severe or repeat offenses may be taken, such as being banned from TheExchang or restricting the payment method. I understand why my offer was removed, and now I can’t create a new offer using the same payment method. What are my next steps now? Please contact our support team so we can help get this payment method reinstated for you. Our Marketplace investigations team will verify the request and ensure your account is in good standing before granting access.

Here are some tips for writing good offer terms: Note: Before you begin, ensure that your offer terms align with TheExchang's Terms of Service.

Want to buy crypto on your own terms? Create an offer and dictate your price, how you want to get paid, and in what currency.

1. Click Margin or Fixed Price to choose the cryptocurrency rate you want to use. Note: Margin price — Your offer’s selling price will change according to the crypto's market price. Fixed price — Your offer’s selling price is locked when the offer is created and won’t change with the market price of a cryptocurrency. 2. Choose how much you want to earn on each purchase by inserting the number into the margin field. Set a percentage according to the market price of crypto and your personal trading intentions. This percentage can be both negative and positive. You can read more about the margin here. You will see on the screen a clear explanation of how much you will earn according to the percentage selected. Note: Do not set a low or high percentage to attract customers and negotiate the price within a trade. It is against our Terms of Service. Cryptocurrency sellers look for the best value + user rating. Choose the margin percentage that you think your target audience would value. A positive margin percentage is advised when creating an offer to buy crypto. As a default, we offer a cryptocurrency price, the average ask price between Coinbase, Bitstamp, and Bitfinex. 3. Set offer trade limits by inserting numbers into the Minimum trade amount and Maximum trade amount fields. Here you can choose how much crypto in the traditional currency you want to buy. Note: You can set a range or click Use exact amount to set the sum you are interested in. Once a trade is initiated, the exact trade equivalent in BTC is moved into escrow. 4. Choose the offer time limit by inserting a number into the minutes' field. This indicates the amount of time you have to make the payment. The trade will be automatically canceled if you do not click Paid before the payment window expires.

Currently, the minimum trade amount is 10 USD to buy bitcoins. If you are selling bitcoin, the minimum is 0.001 BTC.

Reputation is a good way to understand how good or bad a trader somebody is on TheExchang. Reputation is an aggregated score displayed on a user’s public profile. Each user can give feedback to their trade partner after completing a trade. You need to remember that only successful trades are eligible for feedback. If you’ve missed the opportunity to leave feedback on a trade, you can still do it by reopening the trade later. You can also make changes to the feedback you’ve already provided about a user.

Log in to your TheExchang account, hover over your username located on the upper right of the page, and click My profile on the context menu that appears. Your Profile page opens up, showing the positive and negative feedback scores you’ve received so far underneath your username. For more detailed information, scroll down to the Feedback tab:

Note: To change your feedback, reopen the trade, choose the new feedback type, edit the comment you've already written, and click Update feedback. You can leave only one feedback for a user per payment method and per currency. Example: You have 5 Amazon gift card trades in USD, 3 Amazon gift card trades in GBP, 5 Bank Transfer trades in USD, and 3 Paypal trades in USD with a user. It means you can leave only four feedbacks in total. However, you can always update the existing feedback according to your latest trade experience. If you leave negative feedback, you will be required to leave a comment. On the last step of a trade, the feedback section appears. Click Positive or Negative, enter any additional comments you have in the comment field, and click Submit

Receiving negative feedback from a trade partner can be frustrating, but it’s important to remember that not all negative feedback can be removed from your profile. Negative feedback will only be removed if it meets our criteria for removal. Feedback on the platform: Must not violate the “Prohibited Use” clause of TheExchang’s Terms of Service Must be relevant Must be unbiased Must be left for completed trades with no chargebacks If you’ve received negative feedback on a trade that you believe should be removed based on the guidelines above, please reach out to our support team. From there, we'll review the request, which must be made within 30 days of receiving the feedback.

All images uploaded in trade chats will have a unique watermark that serves as an added layer of security for the sensitive information sent.

There are also reasons for possessing a clear, non-watermarked picture. One of those reasons, for example, with gift cards is to solve any questions with the gift card company. So how do I get non-watermarked images? The KYC/ID verification process should be completed and successfully confirmed. Images in the trade chat will then be shown without a watermark 24 hours after the cryptocurrency has been released.

You should write a detailed offer instruction to help the buyer send payment and make the transaction process as smooth as possible. Give clear instructions on what you need from the buyer and explain the steps that lie ahead (such as information on documents such as receipts or photos you may require). Remember that a user sees trade instructions when the trade starts, so here you can put the information that you want to provide after the user accepts the offer terms. Instructions are added in the third step of the offer creation flow. Note: Before you start, make sure that your instructions are in line with TheExchang's Terms of Service. What not to do: Don’t suggest trading outside escrow. Any suggestions to trade off-site are strictly forbidden, and this kind of activity will get you banned from TheExchang. Don’t give any personal contact information. Don’t give links to outside sites or share URLs. You must process the payment on TheExchang. Examples iTunes gift cards Upload a picture of your physical card with the code clearly visible. For blurry photos, please type the code into the chat as well. If your card doesn’t mark the value, please tell me the denomination. Wait for me to check the card and release cryptocurrency. Remember to click the I have paid button. If, for any reason, you don’t want to continue the trade with me, cancel the trade and let me trade with others instead. Amazon gift cards Upload a picture of your physical card with the code clearly visible. For blurry photos, please type the code into the chat as well. Upload a picture of the receipt showing that the card was purchased with cash. Wait for me to check the card and release cryptocurrency, and remember to click the I have paid button. If, for any reason, you don’t want to continue the trade with me, cancel the trade and let me trade with others instead. Paypal Upload a picture of your full screen showing that the funds are already available in your PayPal balance. Share your PayPal email. Show proof that your account is verified After you have done the above, I will send you the email address to send funds to. Funds must be sent as “goods and services”. Western Union Send the funds via cash to the following: NAME_HERE, ADDRESS_HERE, etc… Provide me with the following information in the chat: sender name, sender city/state, sender phone number, and the exact payout amount in USD or local currency. Click the I have paid button and wait for me to pick up the funds and release cryptocurrency. Read more on our rules for selling cryptocurrency, tips for buying cryptocurrency, and our guide on writing good offer terms.

If the buyer is the offer owner, they have a 5-minute window to view the trade. If those 5 minutes have passed, you can cancel the trade. If the buyer has viewed the trade but hasn’t clicked the I have paid button yet, your cryptocurrency will be released from the trade escrow when the trade expires. If the buyer clicks I have paid, but you don’t receive any payment, you can ask the buyer to cancel the trade. If the buyer doesn’t cancel the trade, you can click Dispute. From there, our moderators will take a look at the situation.

Trade status determines the progress of your trades, and you can view them from your user dashboard when logged in to your account. There are eight statuses your trade could possibly have: Active funded A trade has started, and funds have been transferred from the seller’s wallet into trade escrow. Paid A buyer has marked the trade as paid. It means that a buyer of cryptocurrency is sure that he has made the payment and has actually clicked the Paid button. Expired Every trade has a payment window for a buyer to make a payment. When a trade is funded but a buyer fails to mark it as paid, the payment window expires. This status means that a trade has been cancelled. Cancelled A buyer or seller has willingly cancelled a trade. Dispute open A buyer or seller has opened a dispute. Successful A seller of cryptocurrency has released funds from the trade escrow to the buyer’s wallet. Awarded seller A dispute has taken place, and cryptocurrency was awarded to the seller of cryptocurrency. Awarded buyer A dispute has taken place, and cryptocurrency was awarded to the buyer of cryptocurrency.

When a trade starts, the seller’s crypto is automatically transferred into our secure escrow. Note: The amount transferred into escrow is the trade amount plus the escrow fee.

Sometimes a buyer may not be able to finalize the payment for the cryptocurrency. If you’re the seller in this case, then your cryptocurrency is safely returned back to your wallet. Once the payment is made and confirmed, the seller can release cryptocurrency from escrow to the buyer, and this will mark the completion of the trade.

With the simplified version, you go through a similar process . However, you have additional payment-specific requirements to choose from. Chat is avoided as trade instructions and requirements are integrated into the trade flow. Here is an example of such a process with a PayPal offer: 1. Start creating an New Advertisements to sell your cryptocurrency as usual. 2. Select Your Cryptocurrency from the list of top 6 Cryptocurrencies. 3. Select "PayPal" as payment method from the list of 500+ payment methods. 4. Choose your Currency form 165 listed currencies 5. Choose any one Price Type form drop down "Margin" or "Fixed" 6. If you chosen Margin then put any % of the margin you take over the current price of the asset you are selling. but if you chosen Fixed then put the price of the asset you are selling. 7. Select payment window from the list. This will tell buyer to the time of your advertisement. 8. Set Minimum and Maximum limit of your advertisement that you want to buyer pay between that limit. 9. Set your Payment Details for the buyer like type in your email for the PayPal which is chosen as your Payment Method . Note: We will show your email address to the buyer. Note: If your trade requires a security deposit, you'll need to make the deposit to ensure your offer will be visible on the marketplace.

Step 1 1. Click Upload to upload the proof of payment the same way as all previous files. 2. After making the payment and uploading the proof requested, click I Have Paid button. The Step 3 section activates. Step 3 Wait for the seller to release cryptocurrency. In the event of success, you receive a notification confirming that the funds have been transferred to your cryptocurrency wallet. Tip: After a successful trade, do not forget to leave feedback for your trade partner. Have a look at our articles about how to buy cryptocurrency with online wallets and how you can create an offer to sell your cryptocurrency.

If you have started a dispute but changed your mind and want to cancel it, do one of the following: If you started a dispute as a seller and you see that the buyer has resolved the issue from their side, click Release. If you started a dispute as a buyer and you see that the issue has been resolved, click Cancel. Tip: To ensure the best solution possible, wait for a moderator and let them decide how to solve the dispute.

You can't change your email in TheExchang. To change the email address, you have to create a support ticket regarding this. Once our support team receives your request, we’ll ask you a few questions to make sure you’re the owner of your TheExchang account. From there, our team will take a look at processing your request. It may take up to 24 hours for our system to complete the change of your account’s email address. If you’re using 2FA, you will receive a validation code through either Google Authenticator or Authy. You must be able to verify the new email address.

Account restrictions, such as being Banned are not reversible; therefore, the actions are final. However, if your account is frozen, first check your email for information and then contact Support to figure out the next steps for an appeal. If your account is locked, please take a look at FAQs' article for steps on how to unlock it. Warning: The quickest way to appeal a restriction on your account is by using our Contact Us form and choosing the following request type: Accessing and using my account > My account is banned, frozen, suspended, or on hold.

Google Authenticator is an application that implements two-step verification services for our users as an added layer of security. It uses a time-based one-time password algorithm and a HMAC-based one-time password algorithm for authenticating users of mobile applications by Google. To set up 2FA with Google Authenticator (GA), follow the steps : Google Authenticator Requirements: Download the GA app for Android or iOS Setting up Google Authenticator: Once the GA app is installed, login to your TheExchang account on a different device. Hover over More tab in the top-right corner of the page and 2FA Security from the menu. On the 2FA Security page a QR code appears. Scan the QR code with your phone by using the Google Authenticator app. A 6-digit code will appear on the app or you can copy the Setup Key for manual setup. Enter the 6-digit code into the field Google Authenticatior Code. Click on the submit button. Authenticator is set up successfully.

Although there are times when you might need to exit the chat to finish, try not to click on suspicious links that you aren’t familiar with, especially phishing links. Be cautious of users asking you to cancel a trade or switch over to a different offer link. Keep an eye out for users not following the offer guidelines. Don’t chat outside of TheExchang’s trade chat. If your trade ends up in a dispute, our team can’t help resolve the issue since it happened outside of TheExchang. Check if the address on your browser matches https://TheExchang.com before entering any account details.

It’s important to know that our moderators have specific chat bubbles and signatures to let you know that it’s really us. Here’s what a message from a real TheExchang moderator will look like: "System:- Disputed by - username please solve issue with buyer and seller."

When creating a password, make sure to use a combination of upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters.

Be cautious of users asking for sensitive information like your password in the trade chat. TheExchang team will NEVER ask for your password or other sensitive account information. If you’re in a dispute and our moderators ask you to provide a screenshot or a video as proof, make sure your passwords are not visible.

Don’t interact with suspicious emails, give away sensitive data, or click on any links that seem suspicious. For additional information, see: I have received a suspicious email. Is it from TheExchang?

Make sure you’re using trusted and secure Wi-Fi and networks—preferably a wired connection or a network with a password.

We will never request the following information: Your full credit card number, banking information, or other financial details Your TheExchang password Your one-time two-factor authentication (2FA) code Click a link to receive funds, verify information, and release or cancel the trade when you are already logged in (you can do that yourself on TheExchang) We also won't send you links asking you to click to receive funds, verify your information, or release or cancel a trade when you're already logged in. Please report it to us immediately if you receive a message requesting any of the above information.

While scammers change their tactics frequently, look for these classic signs of a phishing or spoofing attempt: The user requests your bank account, username, password, national identity number, or identity. A claim is made that your account is compromised. In such cases, we may send only automated messages from “no-reply” email addresses. You receive an unsolicited email with a link to verify your account information. There are typos in the email address. It’s common to see something like [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] You receive suspicious links that don’t lead to www.TheExchang.com. Before you enter your login information or click on a link, double-check the URL by copying it into your address bar without pressing Enter. You receive emails that mimic our design. These emails aim to distract you from any typos in the email address or website links by using pictures and colors similar to our platform.

If you forgot your password and can't sign in to your TheExchang account, follow these steps to reset it and request a new password: 1. Click the Log in button on the home page 2. Click “Forgot password?” 3. Enter your username or email address and then click Send Password Code. From there, you'll receive an email from us with a link to reset your password. If you have 2FA enabled, you will be asked to input the 2FA code to complete your password reset request. Note: If you received a password reset link via email, the link is valid for 60 minutes. If you requested an email link multiple times, use the latest link you received. See our security guide for additional information on improving the safety of your account. You can also check how to change the password in your profile settings.

Have you had problems with your two-factor authentication (2FA)? Here's how to troubleshoot 2FA via Email, or Google Authenticator. Google Authenticator If your GA codes don’t work, it might be because the time on your Google Authenticator app is not synced correctly with your device. Make sure to check the clock and set it to the correct time zone. An incorrect clock can cause codes to be out of sync. Email If you’re having issues receiving a 2FA via email code, please check the following: Make sure your inbox is not full. Make sure emails from TheExchang are not going into your spam folder. Make sure your email is verified on your TheExchang account. If you haven’t been using 2FA via Google Authenticator or Authy or your email is not verified on your TheExchang account, please contact our support team to reset your 2FA.

If you think someone has gained access to your account or suspect that login details have been compromised, here’s what you can do: If someone logged into your account but you still have access to it, do one of the following: Usually, whenever there is a new or unexpected login on your account, we immediately notify you via email with a link to report it and lock your account if you suspect intrusion. So just click the link in the email. Your account is locked immediately, and all sessions are terminated. The faster you act, the higher your chances of saving your bitcoin. Next, contact support to restore access to your account. After that, take steps to protect your account. Alternatively, while logged in to your account, simply proceed with the following steps: Steps to protect your account: Change your password to something secure (a password that you have NOT USED on other sites or emails). Try to make your password as complex as possible, but at the same time, be sure to remember it. Check to ensure that none of your other settings, such as your email or phone number, were changed. If they were changed to something you don’t recognize, change them back. Log out of your account. Log back in using your new password. Download Google Authenticator(iPhone/Android) or Authy (Mac/Windows). Turn on 2FA on TheExchang and scan the code with your phone. Remember to turn 2FA on for BOTH login and sending out as it will make your transactions more secure. We recommend using Google Authenticator or Authy over email 2FA, as it is more secure. Just bring up the app and get the code every time you want to log in or send crypto. Note: If the support team can trace the hacker and recover any funds, we will contact you. Hackers often cover their actions very well, and it is not possible to track them down to reverse cryptocurrency transactions. It is advised that you change passwords for any other accounts you have online, as hackers normally gain access by getting into your email or other accounts. If you can’t log in to your account: Contact support and provide all the information required by our support agents. Once it’s verified that you are the account owner, inform support that you need an ACCOUNT LOCKDOWN. The support team will see if there is enough data to prove you are not a hacker (and will try to give you access to your own account). Once it is verified that you are the victim and rightful account owner, account access will be restored. Once you log in, secure your account immediately. How did this happen, and how can I prevent it from happening again? To prevent this from happening again, we suggest that you don’t use the same password across websites and that you have 2FA with Google Authenticator enabled. At TheExchang, we are constantly improving our security processes to keep your funds as safe as possible. So where did the cryptocurrency go? Check your account activity to see who logged into your account. Take note of their IP address. Check your wallet ledger to see the cryptocurrency address they sent your coins to. With the cryptocurrency address and the IP address of the thief, you have some information, but it is often impossible to track them down. Our support team does not have the resources to help you investigate further because hackers often use VPNs and also because of the general anonymity of cryptocurrency. It is nearly impossible to track them down, so try your best to make your account as secure as possible. Enabling 2-Factor Authentication is a good way to prevent any of these from ever happening.

The amount sent and the amount received on Bitcoin transactions may differ due to transaction fees and currency rate differences. While sending Bitcoin, it is important to keep in mind the transaction fees and possible currency rate differences.

Sending funds to an external wallet will not have any TheExchang transaction fee . The amount of crypto you're sending in addition to the fee will be deducted from your wallet. The currency rate will also be different from the one the recipient will see in their wallet. Why? TheExchang may use different rates from those used by the recipient's wallet service. So while 0.05 BTC in a TheExchang wallet may be equal to 100 USD, in another wallet service it may be equal to 101 USD or 99 USD, for example. External transactions may take some time. During this timeframe, the Bitcoin value may change. This is out of control of any cryptocurrency service. So if in your TheExchang wallet, 0.05 BTC appears as 105 USD, in the recipient's wallet it may appear to be worth less or more, for example, 100 USD or 115 USD, due to a drop or increase in the value of Bitcoin. Remember that you are sending Bitcoin and not fiat amount. So the recipient will still receive 0.05 BTC in this case. Some other wallet services may have a deposit fee. TheExchang does not charge any deposit fee.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Unfortunately, TheExchang has no control over them and cannot cancel or reverse transactions. This applies in all cases. If you were hacked and someone sent out your coins, If you sent crypto to the wrong address, If you released crypto in a trade by mistake. If you were scammed. Once your cryptocurrency is sent out, it cannot be reversed. Please read our security guide to increase the protection of your funds. If you still want to try tracking the cryptocurrency address you accidentally sent your crypto to, you can use tools like Block Explorer. If you accidentally released your crypto to a trade partner or if you think another TheExchang user has scammed you, please contact our support team.

The Bitcoin you sent may not appear immediately in the recipient's wallet balance, but that doesn't mean that the funds are lost. Here are some steps for you to figure out what could have happened: Make sure you sent the Bitcoin to the correct wallet address. You can check this by going over your transaction history. If the recipient’s wallet address is correct, go to the next step. If you have used an incorrect address, go to this article about recovering funds sent to the wrong wallet address. Check the transaction status on Blockcypher.com or Blockchain.com If you see less than three confirmations, give the transaction some more time to be processed (this may take up to 24 hours). If you see three or more confirmations, contact the recipient’s wallet service provider to investigate this situation further. Note: Don't worry—if you've entered the correct recipient's wallet address, your funds will be recovered.

You can easily send your Bitcoin from your TheExchang Wallet to an external wallet, as we support all major Bitcoin wallet types except for one. There are three Bitcoin address formats currently in use: P2PKH addresses which begin with the number 1. Example: 1BvBMSEYstWetqTFn5Au4m4GFg7xJaNVN2. P2SH addresses starting with the number 3. Example: 3J98t1WpEZ73CNmQviecrnyiWrnqRhWNLy. Bech32 addresses also known as "bc1 addresses" starting with bc1. Example: bc1qar0srrr7xfkvy5l643lydnw9re59gtzzwf5mdq. Bech32 is supported by the majority of software and hardware wallets, but only a few exchange platforms. TheExchang Wallet allows withdrawals to P2PKH, P2SH, and Bech32 addresses.

Since we use a custodial wallet, you may see a different wallet address listed on the transaction inputs, but don't worry; this is normal.

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. To get your funds back, you must contact the receiver and request that they be sent back. If you don’t know to whom the address belongs, you can’t do anything else to retrieve the funds. Warning: Always double-check and ensure that the address you’re sending funds to exactly matches the address of the recipient beforehand.

Ethereum is an open-source blockchain network on which companies can build products. Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. Ethereum is also a network where ETH (Ethereum), USDT (Tether), and other cryptocurrencies transact.

Unfortunately, Ethereum transactions can’t be cancelled or reversed.

Head to the Wallet tab and click "Generate New ETH Address" in the Ethereum (ETH) section.

USDC is a stablecoin that keeps its value around the $1 mark. Although its rate can fluctuate a bit, it maintains a 1:1 representation of the US Dollar on the Ethereum blockchain. For more information about USDC, you can visit their website.

As TheExchang promise you with 100% Charge Free Platform, Only the network fees will be charged. Under Zero Charge Policy, TheExchang will not charge any fees. You just create a support ticket with the amount you want to convert and our support team will do that for you it will transfer from converting cryptocurrency to USDC directly into your wallet.

Unfortunately, transactions on the blockchain cannot be canceled or reversed.

Log in to your TheExchang account and head to the Wallet page. Look for USDC currency under Assets and click "Generate New Address". From there, you can copy your Tether wallet address. Please make sure the amount you’ll be receiving is worth more than the fee!

Log in to your TheExchang account and head to the Wallet page. Look for Tether (USDT.ERC20 or USDT.TRC20) currency under Assets and click "Generate New Address". From there, you can copy your Tether wallet address. Please make sure the amount you’ll be receiving is worth more than the fee! Notes: After USDT is sent, the transaction needs 12 confirmations on the blockchain to be successful. You can check out the status of the transaction through Etherscan here. Just grab the transaction ID from your TheExchang wallet here and enter it into Etherscan to track it. If you have an old Tether address, you'll be charged a network fee when you use it to deposit Tether. You can avoid that fee by using your new Tether address.

TheExchang does its best to give users the option to save on fees for USDT transactions; that's why the TRON (TRC-20) Network was added. Transaction fees on the blockchain can get expensive and are sometimes unpredictable. These fees are called Network fees and do not go to TheExchang. They go to the blockchain networks to make sure your funds are safe. Luckily, the fees in the TRC-20 Network are lower than the fees in older blockchains (such as Bitcoin and Ethereum).

You will be charged a network fee when sending USDT via the TRON (TRC20) network, and that's on top of the TheExchang Wallet fee. Check out this article for more information on our fees.

We understand that a change in your wallet address can be confusing and raise questions. Wallet address changes are a natural part of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and are often tied to security and privacy considerations. Here's why your wallet address might have changed: 1. Security Enhancement: Cryptocurrency wallet addresses are sometimes changed to enhance security. Reusing the same address for multiple transactions can potentially expose your transaction history and make it easier for malicious actors to track your activities. Changing your address helps mitigate this risk. 2. Privacy Considerations: Privacy is a key concern for many cryptocurrency users. Changing wallet addresses adds an additional layer of privacy by making it more difficult for third parties to associate multiple transactions with the same user. 3. Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) Wallets: Many modern wallets, including those offered by TheExchang, use Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet technology. HD wallets generate a new address for each transaction, ensuring that your funds are stored across multiple addresses. This improves security and prevents address reuse. 4. User-Requested Address Change: In some cases, users might manually request a new wallet address. This could be due to concerns about the security of the existing address, or the desire to create a fresh address for a specific purpose. 5. Technical Upgrades: Wallet providers may occasionally make updates to their systems or underlying technologies. These upgrades might involve generating new wallet addresses to align with updated security standards. 6. Exchange Policies: If you're using a wallet associated with an exchange like TheExchang, the exchange might periodically change wallet addresses for various reasons, including maintenance, security, and operational efficiency. 7. Network Changes: In certain cases, changes to the underlying blockchain network might lead to changes in wallet address formats or requirements. This is rare but can occur due to network upgrades or forks. 8. Enhanced Privacy Features: Some wallets implement advanced privacy features that involve generating new addresses to mask the origin and destination of transactions. In summary, wallet address changes are generally done to enhance security, protect your privacy, and align with best practices in the cryptocurrency space. If you notice a change in your wallet address, rest assured that it's a normal part of using cryptocurrency wallets, especially if you're using an HD wallet. If you have concerns or questions about a specific wallet address change, we encourage you to reach out to our support team. We're here to assist you and provide any clarification you need. Thank you for your understanding and for choosing TheExchang as your cryptocurrency platform.

Buying cryptocurrency can be tough at first, so we've prepared a guide to get you started and help you complete a trade on TheExchang.

A seller’s reputation is displayed with a green thumb. This is the total of all of the positive feedback the seller has received. Clicking on the seller's name will show their full profile, where you can see how much negative feedback they've received in addition to the positive. You can also see their location, all of their active offers, and other important information about them. Pay attention to each type of feedback: positive and negative. For example, despite having more than 10,000 positive feedback scores and 1,000 negative feedback scores, you should still be cautious about such a user. Pay attention to the percentage of negative feedback in relation to the negative and positive ones. Also, do not forget to check for how long a user has been present on our platform. It is also much better if the seller is ID-verified. This means that we have checked his documents and background. Additionally, check when the seller was last seen online on TheExchang. This will help to make sure that you will have a quick trade without any delays from the seller’s side.

The Bitcoin price on TheExchang is never equal to its official market rate, as sellers charge a fee to convert traditional currency into Bitcoin. The price of the fee varies among sellers and depends on who you buy from. So be on the lookout for the best deals. The offer page always includes the rate for each seller. What should interest you the most is how much you get per dollar. The higher the number, the more profitable the trade will be for you.

We know that problems sometimes arise during trades, but it's important to never cancel the trade after you've already paid the seller. If you've paid for your crypto but something has gone wrong, you can start a dispute! Beginning a dispute brings a TheExchang Moderator in to help with the situation. If you cancel the trade, Moderators aren't able to help, and getting a resolution will take longer.

This is grounds for an instant ban as it indicates a scam. We have a trade escrow service, so you know the crypto is there and waiting for you once you complete the payment.

If you have a $50 gift card, then you can’t trade it for a fraction of that (e.g., Asking someone to take only $33 out of your $50). Note that the seller can only take the whole amount, so if you start an order for $33 and he takes $50, the only way to get your change back in cryptocurrency is by starting a new trade for the difference. Seller’s ranges may not meet that amount, or the seller may take down their offers or go offline.

If you are no longer interested in the trade and have not yet paid the seller, feel free to cancel the trade. It will free their escrow and let them continue to trade with others who are interested. If you don’t cancel the trade and leave it hanging, the seller will have to file a dispute or report you, which will probably result in you getting negative feedback. You can see all of your active trades on your dashboard. Click Chat to open the trade, and click Cancel to cancel it.

After a trade Once the trade is completed, you can leave appropriate feedback for your trade partner. Here are some more tips on how to buy cryptocurrency on TheExchang. Additional tips: Most sellers accept only gift cards that have been bought with cash, so be ready with a picture of the receipt; sometimes the image of the packaging may also be requested. Most sellers accept only gift cards that have a denomination printed on them ($25, $50, $100, and so on). Many also do not accept anything over $100. Remember to read their offer terms and instructions carefully to make sure that you have the right kind of card. Make sure that the picture of your card is clear and legible; otherwise, sellers can reject the card. You cannot sell a fraction of the card's value. Always read the offer terms before starting the trade and uploading the card's details. Remember to click the Paid button as soon as you have uploaded everything according to the seller’s requirements. This will prevent the trade from expiring, and it will prevent your card details from being stolen. Brokering of gift cards is strictly prohibited and goes against the TheExchang Terms of Service. Brokering refers to buying the gift card from someone else and then selling the card again on TheExchang . You are allowed to sell only the cards you purchased yourself. Once you sell the card and receive your cryptocurrency, you should not use the card anymore. If you are caught brokering or trying to sell used cards, your account will be banned.

While buying BTC, the price of bitcoin in an offer is not always equal to the official international rate. This logic is similar, for example, to buying American dollars for British pounds. Buying and selling fiat and cryptocurrencies is a free market where buyers and sellers can set their own prices and earn a profit for their time and service. Each seller sets their own price as he provides others with an opportunity to actually make the exchange.

Look at the price/rate of each seller's offer. The lower the price, the more bitcoin you get for the money you pay. If you want to know the current exchange price, check Bitfinex, Bitstamp or Coinbase and then compare it to the price quoted by the seller. On TheExchang, you can see how much you get on the dollar under Rate per bitcoin. It is always based on the US dollar, as the bitcoin price, before it gets converted to any other currency, is set in USD. Example: You choose an offer to buy bitcoin with a bank transfer at a rate of 10,673.9 USD with a fee of 5,2%. This means for 1 USD of your bank transfer, you get approximately 0,95 USD worth of bitcoin. Let’s say you are willing to pay 100 USD to the seller. This means you get 95,1 USD worth of bitcoin, which is 0.00936865 BTC.

TheExchang uses the "market rate" on some currencies instead of the “bank rate” because the latter is usually less favorable. Argentine pesos and Nigerian nairas are some of the currencies that use the market rate on TheExchang to help communities make the most out of their currencies. For these currencies, it’s important to remember that when you’re trading on TheExchang, the rate may be different than what you see on other platforms.

We at TheExchang do as much as possible to increase the level of security on our platform. However, you, as a seller, should accept all the risks and liabilities that come with trading. It is up to you to protect yourself from malicious users and obvious scams. Check out our security guide and safety tips for more information.

If you are not at your computer, please deactivate all your offers. You can easily do it from your Dashboard. This will also help you avoid having your cryptocurrency locked in a trade escrow if a buyer starts a trade during your absence. When a buyer starts a trade with you, say “Hi” and let them know you are ready to trade. Example: “Hi, I am ready; please follow the instructions, and you can have your cryptocurrency in no time!“. This message may sound too simple and obvious. However, according to our statistics, a high number of canceled trades are due to an unresponsive seller. Please show the buyer that you are ready.

Have both offer terms and trade instructions in a simple, short, bulleted or numbered list. Read more on how to write good offer terms and trade instructions. This is relevant when creating your own offer. If you have special payment-related procedures that may delay the release of cryptocurrency for a longer period, make it clear to the buyer. This must be clearly stated in your offer terms and trade instructions. You must make sure that the buyer understands that the release of cryptocurrency may be reasonably delayed. The release time may not exceed the time stated in your terms. (Remember that TheExchang advertises p2p service as instant.) Write concise offer terms. The buyer sees the offer terms before he starts the trade. It may contain important information about the trade. Example: uploading a photo of an ID, uploading a cash receipt, accepting physical gift cards only, etc. Note that buyers avoid offers with complicated terms. Clear offer terms also give an advantage in the event of a dispute. Never leave this section blank while creating an offer. Write clear trading instructions. Trade instructions are shown to a buyer once a trade starts. Instructions give additional guidance to your trade partner and should consist of clear steps. Provide your customers with helpful aids and examples if necessary. For example, if you require them to upload a selfie with a photo ID, then put an example picture.

You are the person responsible for accepting and processing payments. If you have no control over the payment and transfer responsibility to others, this can be considered fraud. For example, in the case of bank transfers, you should be the account owner, in the case of altcoins, you should be the owner of the wallet, etc.

A buyer of cryptocurrency must pay the exact price that is set for trade. If during a trade both sides agree to change the amount, a new trade must be re-opened for the correct amount. Price negotiations within the same trade are against our Terms of Service.

There are a variety of cash payments that you can use to sell cryptocurrency on TheExchang. This article gives you an overview of selling cryptocurrency using any of the supported cash payments. Before trading Before selling cryptocurrency with cash payments, here are a few things to consider: In the case of some disputes, it is very difficult for TheExchang to provide assistance — be ready to file a Police report in such cases. Trading Searching for an offer The first step to selling cryptocurrency with cash is to look for an offer that accepts cash as payment. You’ll also need to enter the amount you wish to sell and your preferred currency. When you find the offer that suits you, be sure to read the offer terms before starting the trade. This will give you a brief summary of what the buyer requires from you regarding the payment. After reading through the offer terms and confirming that you agree with the conditions, it’s time to start the trade. Once the trade has begun, a more specific set of instructions should appear for the meetup. Usually, for cash trades, buyers should promise to provide a teller receipt. If, at any point during the trade, you feel confused about the instructions, feel free to send a message to the buyer via trade chat. They should be able to help you with any questions that you may have. Creating an offer To sell cryptocurrency with a cash payment, you can also create your own offer. Here are some things to consider: Set a margin you find profitable, as no negotiations during the trade are allowed. Write down clear offer terms and instructions. Make it clear which proof of payment you require and how much time you need to confirm the payment. After creating and publishing your personalized offer, wait for a buyer to start a trade with you. Once a trade has started, you will receive a notification. Feel free to discuss all the necessary details with your trade partner. Completing a trade The payment process itself is usually quite simple. In any case, always make sure you have provided the correct details to the buyer and collected all possible proof of receiving or not receiving the payment. The last step for you is to release cryptocurrency from the trade escrow. Click the Release button only if you are absolutely sure about receiving the payment. After a trade Once the trade is completed, you can leave appropriate feedback for your trade partner.

As a seller, you should only release the cryptocurrency to the buyer once you've confirmed that you have received the payment. It should be the last step of your trade. If you release the crypto before confirming you’ve received a successful payment, you can start a dispute, and our moderators will help sort out the issue.

Margins can set your offer price above or below the market price. They allow users to add a type of sellers’ or buyers’ “fee” when making a trade.

When selling crypto, a positive margin (+) gives you profit since you ask a trader to buy your crypto at a higher price than the current market price. Selling crypto at a negative margin (-) will lower your profit since you are asking to sell your crypto at a rate lower than the market price.

Once you make your buy or sell offer, you can easily edit the offer by following these quick steps: 1. Click over to the Advertisements tab Here you can see a snapshot of all your current offers, which you can view and edit. 3. Next, click the Edit button next to the Feedback button. The offer terms aim to ensure that the trade partner understands how they need to pay you before the trade begins. If the offer terms are unclear and easy to understand, users will likely cancel the trade because they may not know the process. If the offer terms are too long, the user may cancel or start the trade without reading them. If your offer terms are short, clear, and easy to understand, you will make it very easy for your trade partners. Try to be specific and to the point without overwhelming the trade partner. What not to do: Don’t suggest trading off-escrow. Any suggestions to trade outside the platform are strictly forbidden and will get you banned from TheExchang. Will you require a considerable amount of time to process the payment?

If a security deposit is required for a trade, it's to ensure the safety of trades and to help create a secure marketplace. On TheExchang, security deposits can be as low as 0.005 BTC. Note: If you don’t have enough BTC in your account to cover the security deposit, your offer will not be activated. Your deposit amount is released 7 days after your last trade. On the offer list, click the username whose reputation you’re interested in. The Profile page appears. You’ll see the positive and negative feedback scores the user has received so far underneath their username. During a trade, you can find the positive and negative scores of a user close to their username in the trade chat.

We also recommend that users who have received negative feedback leave a response. Responding to specific feedback is an effective way to give context to your reputation. As both a buyer and a seller of cryptocurrency, here's what you should do when your trade partner on TheExchang is unresponsive.

If you start a trade and the seller seems to be offline or doesn’t reply to you, you can cancel the trade and try your luck with the other seller. If a seller was responsive, approved the payment, and then became unresponsive, you need to click I have paid so that the trade doesn’t expire. If the trade expires, the seller gets his cryptocurrency back from escrow. If you forgot to click the I have paid button, but payment has already been made, it’ll be much harder to get your coins. In such a case, please contact our Support.

To secure the marketplace, TheExchang employs various protocols, such as escrow, to prevent fraud and make trades safe for everyone. TheExchang’s escrow feature aims to ensure a fair trade experience for both parties. TheExchang is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency marketplace where people can meet and safely trade crypto using over 500 payment methods. When a trade starts, the cryptocurrency from the seller’s wallet is automatically moved into a temporary safe deposit account (escrow), where it will be held until the transaction is complete.

If you, as a buyer make the payment but the seller refuses to release your crypto, the secure escrow serves as a guarantee. The seller’s cryptocurrency will stay in escrow until our moderators step in to investigate the situation and award the cryptocurrency to the deserving party.

All TheExchang Trades flow in a similar way. However, you may encounter some specific cases depending on the payment method you choose. If you familiarize yourself with the process, it’ll make trading on TheExchang a lot easier. Buying cryptocurrency Find an offer on our Buy Bitcoin list. We highly recommend setting up 2FA as soon as you create your TheExchang account. You can set this up in your account settings. Although we recommend using Authy or Google Authenticator for more security, you can also use your email for 2FA.

It’s essential to have different passwords for your email and your TheExchang account. This is because hackers usually target your emails. In a worst-case scenario, if a hacker gets access to your email, they’ll be able to access the funds in your TheExchang Wallet.

Make sure you protect the email address connected to your TheExchang account and don’t share it in a trade chat. Your email is a gateway to your account, so be sure to keep it to yourself.

These links and attachments can damage your device, and your data can potentially be exposed to thieves. First and foremost, you'll want to report the message to our Support team. When you reach out to us, be sure to include all of the information from the emails or messages to help us investigate where they originated. Note: Two-factor authentication (2FA) via SMS will no longer be supported starting November 14th, 2022. To secure your account, we highly recommend setting your 2FA up with Google Authenticator (GA) or Authy. Alternatively, although it’s less secure than GA or Authy, you can enable 2FA via email. If you don’t get the chance to change your settings, starting on November 10, we’ll be sending your codes to your email instead of SMS. For those who use a combination of 2FA via SMS and Google Authenticator or Authy, your codes will be redirected to Google Authenticator or Authy instead.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security where the user must verify that they own the account with a code. 2FA is often used to protect the user’s credentials, information, and any resources within the system. Only the user can access their specific 2FA alert, which is sent via Authy, Google Authenticator, or email. 2FA is a secondary layer of security used to safeguard your account. With an authenticator, you receive a code you will need to input to log in to your account or complete any trades. There are several different types of authenticators, or 2FA methods, you can use. The two options are: Google Authenticator Email To set up 2FA, you’ll need to first set up your security questions in your account settings.

Log in to your TheExchang account and head to the Wallet page. Look for BTC currency under Assets and click "Generate New Address". From there, you can copy your Bitcoin(BTC) wallet address. Please make sure the amount you’ll be receiving is worth more than the fee! You can use a new Bitcoin address each time you receive a deposit. Once you’ve received Bitcoin from an external wallet to your current BTC address, you can request a new address be generated. Your older Bitcoin addresses will still work; you can find them on the Addresses tab.

If you send this amount to a TheExchang wallet, it means that you are making an internal TheExchang transaction. There is no fee for internal transfers. Currency rate differences will also stay the same. So if while sending 0.05 BTC it is equal to 100 USD, the recipient will see the same rate after receiving the transaction. This is due to the fact that transactions within TheExchang are instant. So the effect of currency fluctuations is eliminated in such internal wallet transactions.

Your funds are perfectly safe with us. We use Coinpayments as a wallet service provider, which is one of the most secure services on the market. Additionally, we provide you with all means to protect your funds within your TheExchang account. However, the overall security of your TheExchang wallet depends on the decisions you make. Not only are our servers highly secure, meeting the most stringent of compliance requirements, but as an additional layer of security, two-factor authentication can be enabled whenever you log into your account and when you send out cryptocurrency. We support Google Authenticator, Authy, and two-factor authentication. Even though we offer all the mentioned security measures, it is up to you to set up a strong password, safely store it, and choose to activate two-factor security for your account and transactions. Speaking of security, beware of any phishing sites. Always ensure that you are on https://www.theexchang.com/ before you enter any account details or other sensitive information. Never share your account details with anyone. TheExchang support will NEVER ask for your account password or one-time password. Note that TheExchang has no Skype or phone support. Read more on how to protect your wallet in our security guide.

Bitcoin transactions are not always instant, as it depends on the number of transactions processed by the blockchain at a given time. It takes two confirmations from the network before your balance is fully available in your TheExchang wallet. This is the industry standard for a truly secure wallet. This can take anywhere from five minutes to an hour, depending on the Bitcoin network. Here are factors that affect the speed of Bitcoin transactions: Miner's fee The higher the miner's fee you choose to pay, the higher the priority of your transaction within the blockchain. Note: TheExchang don't charge any fee for external transactions. This means all our outgoing transactions are treated equally. The blockchain processor service you (your provider) use. TheExchang uses the services of Coinpayments, the most secure and successful blockchain processing service in the world. If you transfer from your TheExchang wallet to an external wallet that also uses CoinPayments, this significantly improves the speed of your transaction. All transactions made between TheExchang wallets are instant. Find out more about How To Check Bitcoin Transaction Status.

If you notice that Bitcoin sent to your TheExchang wallet isn’t showing up on your balance, it doesn’t mean that your funds are lost. Here's what you can do: Make sure that the funds were sent to the correct wallet address. If they were sent from an online wallet, check the transaction history. If they were sent from an ATM, check the transaction history and the receipt. If the recipient’s wallet address matches your wallet address, go to the next step. If the address is incorrect, go to this article about recovering funds sent to the wrong wallet address. Check the transaction status on Blockcypher.com or Blockchain.com If you see less than two confirmations, give the transaction some more time to be processed (this can take up to 24 hours). If you see two or more confirmations, go to the next step. Check your wallet page for notifications. If you see a message on your wallet page, just wait for further updates. If there is no information about any technical issues, contact Support right away. Make sure you have provided us with the recipient’s wallet address and transaction ID. Note: Don't worry! If the sender has entered the correct recipient's wallet address, your funds will be recovered.

Sending Bitcoin from one TheExchang wallet to another is instant. But for external wallet transfers, you may need to monitor the process. Here’s how to check the Bitcoin transaction status: Look for the transaction ID. You can find it in the transaction history of the sending wallet provider, or, in the case of an ATM, you will see it on the screen and on your receipt. It will look something like this: e2e400094he873ec4af1c0ae7af8c3697aaace9f7f56564137dd1ca21b448502s Go to https://live.blockcypher.com/ or https://www.blockchain.com/explorer and type or paste the transaction ID into the search field. You can see how many confirmations your transaction has. If you’re receiving BTC in your TheExchang wallet, the funds should arrive after two confirmations. If you’re sending BTC to an external wallet, it usually takes six confirmations to arrive. This can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on how congested the Bitcoin network is. If your transaction says “No Transaction Found”, then the transaction never left the sending wallet. In that case, you should contact the service provider of the sender’s wallet. See our guide on how to deposit Bitcoin into your TheExchang wallet and how to send funds from your wallet.

ETH to BTC: 0.0001 BTC equivalent ETH to USDT: 5 USDT

Log in to your TheExchang account and head to the Wallet page. Look for ETH currency under Assets and click "Generate New Address". From there, you can copy your Ethereum (ETH) wallet address. Please make sure the amount you’ll be receiving is worth more than the fee! Notes: If ETH is sent from an external wallet, the transaction needs 12 confirmations on the blockchain to be successful. You can check out the status of the transaction through Etherscan here. Just grab the transaction ID from your TheExchang wallet here and enter it into Etherscan to track it.

All users can trade and convert USDC with a verified email address. However, depending on your country, you may need to verify your address to sell USDC. In some locations, restrictions on using stablecoins may apply.

Unfortunately, transactions on the blockchain cannot be canceled or reversed.

Buying and selling USDC works the same as buying and selling Bitcoin on the marketplace. Head over to the buy and sell pages to see the available USDC offers. You can also create your own USDC offers. You can also convert your Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT) into USDC on your TheExchang Wallet.

USDC and USDT are functionally the same in concept. However, where they differ is in the companies that issue the coins. USDT is an older and therefore more popular stablecoin but some believe that USDC is a more transparent one since its reserves are regularly reviewed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Log in to your TheExchang account and head to your wallet Click on the "Transactions" tab. on the drop-down menu, select "Type" of the transaction where minus means withdraw and plus means deposit. Then select "Crypto currency" DOGE, USDC, USDT.ERC20, ETH, BTC or USDT.TRC20. You can also nerrow your search by selecting "Remark" Balance Add, Trade Escrow, Trade Completed or Referral. Once you have the transaction ID, Head over to Etherscan.io or Tronscan.org Paste in the transaction ID From there, you can track your transaction. It usually takes 12 confirmations (it can take up to 30 on some platforms) for your transaction to complete, so hang tight!

For USDT (Tether USD) we allow two send-out options from your TheExchang Wallet: Ethereum (ERC-20 USDT) and TRON (TRC-20 USDT).

Typically, you can see that in the ‘Receive’ or ‘Deposit’ screen within your wallet. Look for either Ethereum (ERC20) USDT or TRON (TRC20) USDT. If you are given a deposit address, you can easily spot the Ethereum address by the ‘0x’ in the beginning, while TRON addresses start with a capital ‘T’. Note: Make sure your wallet/exchange supports USDT transfers. Please never withdraw money directly to ICO addresses or services not designed to accept USDT.

You can still send funds to another TheExchang Wallet by using a TheExchang username or wallet address. There is no network fee for internal transfers (you have 1000 USD worth of free internal transfers each month).

Make sure you copied the address correctly. Keep in mind that addresses are case-sensitive. Also, make sure your address is either Ethereum USDT (starts with ‘0x’) or TRON USDT (starts with ‘T’).

All users can trade and convert USDT with a verified email address and phone number. However, depending on your country, you may need to verify your address to sell USDT. If you need any assistance from our Support team, do not hesitate to contact us.

With TheExchang, the minimum amount you can buy, sell, and convert is 10 USDT. If you need any assistance from our Support team, do not hesitate to contact us.

Ethereum (ETH) is a decentralized blockchain platform and cryptocurrency that was created by Vitalik Buterin and introduced in 2015. It was designed to enable the development of decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts. Unlike Bitcoin, which primarily serves as a digital currency, Ethereum's blockchain technology provides a more versatile and programmable platform for various applications beyond simple transactions. At the core of Ethereum is its ability to execute smart contracts, which are self-executing agreements with the terms of the contract directly written into code. Smart contracts enable automated and trustless execution of various processes, ranging from financial transactions to complex multi-step operations, without the need for intermediaries. Ethereum's native cryptocurrency, Ether (ETH), serves as the fuel for running applications and executing smart contracts on the Ethereum network. Ether can also be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges like other digital assets. The Ethereum network has gone through several upgrades to improve scalability, security, and functionality. One significant upgrade is Ethereum 2.0 (Eth2 or Serenity), which aims to transition from a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism to a proof-of-stake (PoS) mechanism to enhance network efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Ethereum has played a pivotal role in the development of the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, where various financial services and applications are built on the blockchain, without relying on traditional intermediaries like banks. It has also contributed to the emergence of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are unique digital assets representing ownership of digital or physical items, such as art, collectibles, and virtual real estate. Overall, Ethereum's innovative features and capabilities have made it a central player in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space, driving significant advancements in decentralized technologies and applications. Fiat or fiat money is a currency a government has declared legal tender, but a physical commodity does not back it. The value of fiat money is derived from the relationship between supply and demand rather than the value of the material from which the money is made. Fiat money only has value because the government maintains that value or because two parties agree. Fiat money was first introduced as an alternative to commodity-backed money.
